We’re barreling straight into spooky season at THS, appreciating all things supernatural and scary. And if psychological thrillers are more your speed, Hulu has something for you this October. You can check out the trailer for The Hand That Rocks the Cradle below.

Described as “a hauntingly modern twist on the classic film,” The Hand That Rocks the Cradle sees an upscale suburban mom bring a new nanny into her home, only to discover she is not the person she claims to be.

The film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as mother Caitlin Morales and Maika Monroe as nanny Polly Murphy. The cast also features Raúl Castillo, Martin Starr, Mileiah Vega, Riki Lindhome, and Shannon Cochran.

The 20th Century Studios film comes from writer Micah Bloomberg, based on a screenplay by Amanda Silver. Michelle Garza Cervera (Huesera: The Bone Woman) directs.

The original 1992 feature The Hand That Rocks the Cradle starred Annabella Sciorra, Rebecca De Mornay, Matt McCoy, Ernie Hudson, Julianne Moore, and Madeline Zima. The story followed a woman whose husband kills himself after it’s revealed he’s been sexually assaulting his patients. She then suffers a miscarriage. The shock and grief drive the wife to infiltrate the family of one of her husband’s accusers as their nanny.

The Hand That Rocks the Cradle will premiere exclusively on Hulu October 22.
