Taylor Swift is bringing her entire production of The Life of a Showgirl to AMC Theaters exclusively for a release party event on October 3rd. The movie is under wraps for now but THR and Deadline are reporting that AMC is teaming with her for this huge release. It’s titled Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party Of A Showgirl which will include the debut of the album’s music video “The Fat Of Ophelia” along with behind-the-scenes footage and reflections from Swift on her latest music.

The movie will run $12 to coincide with Swift’s 12th album and tickets went on sale today at 12:12PM ET. The movie will only be available on October 3rd, 4th, and 5th in theaters. This isn’t the first time that Taylor Swift has bypassed Hollywood to release her own movie, she did so with AMC Theaters in 2023 with the release of Eras Tour which made $92.3 million in its opening weekend and went on to make $180.7 million at the US box office, which was a boon for theaters during the strikes. It also had a massive streaming deal with DIsney+.

Here’s what Swift had to say in an Instagram post about the movie:

I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 – Oct 5 only in cinemas!” Swift posted on Instagram today. “You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single ‘The Fate of Ophelia,’ along with never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl ❤️‍🔥.
