The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been an interesting success story for Amazon Prime Video. All two seasons thus far have been well-received by critics and audiences alike. A large part of that is due to just how much money Amazon tossed into its production, which will result in this The Lord of the Rings (LotR) prequel series being the most expensive TV series ever made if Amazon follows through with their promise to make five season of this. All that money means that there’s just so much of everything. This includes the music for the series, which features the work of Bear McCreary. LotR fans will recall that he composed the music for the original trilogy by director Peter Jackson. Thus, you can expect quality work when you listen to it. And now, you can listen to it in style.
Mutant is proud to announce a partnership with Sparks & Shadows Records to release The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Season Two Complete Soundtrack Collection from the Amazon Original Series). This will be a 10xCD box set containing the episodic scores for all eight episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2. As you might expect, it will feature a number of artists, including Slash, Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Rufus Wainwright, and many more.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Season Two Complete Soundtrack Collection from the Amazon Original Series) will release on December 12, 2025. However, you can preorder it right now directly from Mutant.
