Kamen Rider Kuuga Vol. 10 – The Review
First, I would like to thank Titan Comics for sending me an early copy of Kamen Rider Kuuga Vol. 10 to review. For those who are new to my reviews, I like to keep them short, simple, and as spoiler-free as I can (what I call the 3Ss).
Kamen Rider Kuuga Vol. 10 delivers a high-stakes, action-packed installment in this dark, tokusatsu saga. As the deadly Gegeru battles reach new levels of brutality, Godai faces off against monstrous new enemies with the fate of humanity hanging in the balance. Meanwhile, Shoichi’s inner struggles add a psychological edge, as he battles both external threats and the growing darkness within himself.

I jumped into this manga without reading the first nine volumes, and to my surprise, it quickly grew on me. The story was engaging and easy to follow, with strong character development that pulled me in almost immediately. This was also the first time I had to read a comic in the traditional right-to-left manga format, which took a bit of getting used to, but once I adjusted, it felt just like any other book.
It also took me a while to get used to the black-and-white art style, especially without color to emphasize the action or emotional moments. But that initial hesitation quickly faded. The lack of color enhances the mood, and the detailed linework, shadowing, and panel layouts give each page a gritty, cinematic quality. The art captures the explosive energy of battle and the subtle moments of emotion with impressive precision.
Whether you’re a longtime Kamen Rider fan or jumping in fresh, especially with the Amazon Prime Video adaptation now streaming, Kamen Rider Kuuga Vol. 10 is a thrilling read. With its intense action, compelling characters, and beautifully crafted artwork, it delivers a powerful blend of superhero spectacle, emotional storytelling, and amazing art that’s well worth your time.
