STARZ made a major splash in Hall H at Comic-Con International today. Announcing that the eighth and final season of the time-travelling epic romance Outlander will premiere in early 2026.
Comic-Con attendees got an exclusive first look at the teaser trailer for the new season. Which highlights Claire and Jamie’s enduring love across decades. Picking up after Season 7’s shocking cliffhanger, the trailer hints at a potentially dire fate for Jamie Fraser.
Outlander Prequel Gets Expanded Premiere

Following the Outlander panel; the cast and executive producers of the highly anticipated prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood took the stage. Showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts announced that the series will debut with a two-episode premiere on Friday, August 8.
The panel revealed two first-look clips from the series. One featured Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater), the parents of Jamie Fraser. The other introduced Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), Claire Randall’s parents. The prequel will explore their love stories across the battlefields of World War I and the Highlands of 18th-century Scotland.
Between panels, longtime fans enjoyed a special performance by Raya Yarbrough. Who sang her iconic version of “The Skye Boat Song,” the Outlander theme from the first six seasons? She led a sing-along in Hall H., which seamlessly transitioned into a rousing bagpipe rendition of “Scotland the Brave,” immersing the crowd in Highland spirit.
Seasons 1 through 7 of Outlander are now streaming on the STARZ app and all STARZ on-demand platforms. Outlander: Blood of My Blood premieres Friday, August 8, with new episodes dropping weekly on Fridays.
