Crystal Lake is starting to look a lot bloodier; and we mean that in the best way possible!
Peacock’s upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake has officially rounded out its main cast. Horror fans, this is not a drill. Joining the slasher-soaked action are Devin Kessler (Godfather of Harlem), Cameron Scoggins (Shades of Blue, Nashville), and Gwendolyn Sundstrom. Adding even more firepower to an already stacked lineup.
As reported by Deadline; these new names join the previously announced Linda Cardellini and William Catlett in the highly anticipated series; from showrunner and executive producer Brad Caleb Kane. The plot’s still under wraps, but let’s be real: it’s Crystal Lake, so expect secrets, slashers, and suspense in spades.
Info On Crystal Lake Thus Far
Here’s what we know so far: Cardellini will step into the chilling role of Pamela Voorhies. The twisted mother of infamous killer Jason Voorhies. Pamela is the OG killer from the original 1980 film. Originally portrayed by Betsy Palmer and later by others in the franchise’s twisted history.
William Catlett will portray Levon Brooks, while our new cast additions are taking on the following roles: Kessler as Briana Brooks, Scoggins as Dorf, and Sundstrom as Grace. Colour us intrigued. If these names aren’t ringing a bell, don’t be too surprised. Dorf is the only recognizable legacy character and was a police officer who appeared in the first film. The others appear to be original characters for the show. Although Levon Brooks could be based on a real-life wrongfully convicted man of the same name.
With a killer cast, horror pedigree, and the mysterious promise of new lore at Camp Blood, Crystal Lake is shaping up to be one of the most buzzworthy horror series on the horizon. Pack your bags, campers. The screams, secrets, and blood-soaked surprises are just getting started.
