By all accounts, Disney’s live-action adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been a hit. A veritable hit, you might say. In fact, it’s a hit in spite of the history of live-action adaptations of this popular fantasy novel series of the same name by Rick Riordan. Fans of the books will recall that there was a pair of live-action feature-length films adapted from the books, with Fox 2000 Pictures as the lead production company for both.

However, those same fans will also point out that both Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters are absolutely terrible adaptations of those books. They don’t even feature the same director or screenwriter for both films. It really does make Disney’s go at it seem all the more miraculous. Miraculous enough that there are going to be two seasons of it, with a third on the way.

In fact, that third season is why we’re here. The Hollywood Reporter has just reported that Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry have just been added to the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3. They even report on exactly who these two will play. Keen will play Artemis, Goddess of the Moon and the Hunt, while Chaudry will play Zoë Nightshade, one of Artemis’s immortal Hunters and effectively her second-in-command.

Keen and Chaudry will join a cast that includes Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will play siblings Leo and Bianca di Angelo respectively.

Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry Added to Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 Cast

Honestly, this is pretty interesting news. Mostly because it shows off the pace at which Disney is adapting the books. From the looks of it, Disney is adapting Percy Jackson and the Olympians at a rate of one season per book. All due to the di Angelo siblings only appearing in the third book: The Titan’s Curse. With that much time to flesh out the series, it’s no wonder this is getting such acclaim from both critics and audiences. And at the very least, it’s far more faithful to the books than the older films were. We can only hope that this trend will continue to the upcoming second and third seasons. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long for Season 2. That will make its debut on December 10, 2025. Alas, you still need a Disney+ account to watch it.
