Fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer have been patiently waiting for the sequel series to arrive from Hulu. Now, according to Sarah Michelle Gellar, it looks like that won’t be happening after all. She took to her social media channels to announce that Hulu wasn’t going forward with the series after all.
We’ll have to see if the show gets picked up by any other streamers as of now, but it looks like this reboot isn’t getting off the ground.

The show was written and showran by Nora and Lila Zuckerman. Chloe Zhao was on board to direct and executive produce for her company Book of Shadows. Gellar is also on board as an Executive Producer with Gail Berman. Fran Kuzui and Kaz Kuzui will executive produce via Suite B, while Dolly Parton will executive produce via Sandollar. 20th Television and Searchlight Television will produce. Berman, the Kuzuis, and Parton were all executive producers on the original “Buffy” series.
It was set to feature Sarah Michelle Gellar and newcomer Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
