If you remember back to when Body Bags came out, it was supposed to be the start of an anthology series on Showtime with John Carpenter as the horror host. Now, we might not be getting him as a host, but the legendary director is executive producing the series John Carpenter Presents. THR was first with the news on the new series coming from Elevation Pictures.

Produced by Elevation Pictures the show is created by Showrunners Michael Amo and Will Pascoe.

The logline for the series goes like this: Season one will be set in the remote wilderness of Alaska. As a diverse group of characters face a chilling mix of supernatural and existential terror, the anthology series will explore the hidden fears and social anxieties of our time.

Here’s what Christina Piovesan of Elevation Pictures had to say about the series.

“We’re thrilled to launch into the television space with the master of horror, John Carpenter,” said Christina Piovesan of Elevation Pictures. “Will and Michael bring deep experience in writing and showrunning and we can’t be more excited for this creative team to bring this series to audiences.”

Carpenter and Sandy King Carpenter of Storm King Comics will executive produce alongside Amo and Pascoe.

We’ll keep you updated on this story as we get more news about John Carpenter Presents.
