Tolkien’s fantasy world just added some new faces. Prime Video announced three new cast members joining Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power today. Andrew Richardson, Zubin Varla, and Adam Young will all appear in the fantasy series’ upcoming third season.
Unfortunately for eager fans, Prime Video didn’t reveal what characters these actors will play. However, the streamer did specify that Richardson will appear as a series regular in season 3; Varla and Young will appear in recurring roles.
Richardson is an Olivier Award-nominated stage performer. He will next appear on screen in the Peacock series Ponies, opposite Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson.
Varla, interestingly, already has a connection to Rings of Power; he’s provided voice work on three previous episodes. His other TV credits include Star Wars series Andor, Holby City, and Strike Back.
Finally, horror fans will recognize Young from Don’t Breathe 2. His TV credits include EastEnders, Sex Education, and The Witcher: Blood Origin.
