Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the official trailer for Project Hail Mary, the anticipated sci-fi film starring Ryan Gosling. In the film, Gosling plays a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship, light-years from Earth, with humanity’s survival resting on his shoulders. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Project Hail Mary is based on Andy Weir’s (The Martian) bestselling novel. The film is slated to hit theaters next spring on March 20, 2026. The trailer clocks in at nearly three minutes long and introduces viewers to Gosling’s character, Ryland Grace, who is definitely “not an astronaut.” We also find that Ryland will not be alone on his journey to save the Earth.
