San Diego Comic-Con 2025 got a visit from everyone’s favorite group of criminals before their latest adventure, The Bad Guys 2! There was a massive panel and That Hashtag Show got the chance to see everything up close. Sam Rockwell, Craig Robinson, Marc Maron, Anthony Ramos, Natasha Lyonne, Awkwafina, Maria Baakalova, and Danielle Books sat down to discuss the animated madness. It was high energy and clearly The Bad Girls are here to stay.

It’s pretty clear that the cast has been having a blast making this movie. Marc Maron might have been the most lively person on that stage. Poor moderator Kevin McCarthy could barely stop laughing when he asked the Mr. Snake actor about slithering back into character.

“It was hard getting into snake this time,” Maron joked. “When we were recording, I had them tie my hands behind my back and tie my legs. I did all the recording on the floor, as a snake. So the depth of the character should read a little deeper this time.”

Bad Guys 2 Welcomes The Bad Girls to the stage

The Bad Girls join The Bad Guys.

The Bad Girls are the big foil for our Bad Guys this time around. Their leader, Kitty Kat is played by Danielle Brooks. She’s really excited to join the universe. Playing a villain is a good time for the actress. And, she relished the opportunity to mix it up with Sam Rockwell’s Wolf.

“I play Kitty Kat,” Brooks said while showing off her cool hat. “Basically, Kitty Kat is like Wolf 2.0. She’s the leader, in charge of The Bad Girls. She’s very charismatic, but she is a VILLAIN. So, it was a lot of fun. It’s been a lot of fun to play Kitty Kat.”

Dreamworks takes us for another ride: “Everyone’s favorite felons are back, and this time, they’ve got company. In the new action-packed chapter from DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed comedy smash about a crackerjack crew of animal outlaws, our now-reformed Bad Guys are trying (very, very hard) to be good, but instead find themselves hijacked into a high-stakes, globe-trotting heist, masterminded by a new team of criminals they never saw coming: The Bad Girls.”
