Netflix’s live-action One Piece series is all set to go for a season 2. In fact, it’s so all set to go that we’re going to see it sometime in 2026. Clearly, Netflix have stumbled upon a hit in the making when they introduced the live-action version of the Straw Hat crew all the way back in August 23, 2023. It was a hit that was all the more surprising due to the genre. Anime fans will be fully aware that live-action adaptations of anime…tend to be not that great. Thus, it was a pleasant surprise when the performances of Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, and others won over the hearts and minds of audiences wherever Netflix streamed.

It’s that pleasant surprise and the level of popularity that’s driving the hype for the upcoming season 2. However, as you can see by the title of this article, Netflix isn’t stopping at season 2. They’re proud to announce that they have renewed One Piece for a season 3. This is before season 2 has even begun streaming to boot, so you can tell that Netflix has some high hopes for the show as a whole.

Alas, as you might expect, they do not have anything resembling a release schedule for that season 3. However, they do have a first look at the soon premiering One Piece season 2. You can watch it either on YouTube, or just look below:

Netflix’s One Piece All Set for Season 3 Right After Season 2

I sincerely hope Netflix doesn’t turn Laboon into just a big, scary monster for the Straw Hats to fight.

It’s definitely good news for Netflix’s One Piece now that they have three seasons to work with. While we don’t know when season 3 is coming, at least we know that we can look forward to season 2 next year.

And the first look video is only adding to that hype. Primarily because this is the first time we get a look at some major figures from One Piece canon. Here’s some stills for you to admire that cast below:
