We hope your enjoying the new season of ” The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball” on Hulu. Fans of the series have not seen new episodes of the beloved Elmore kids since 2019. Now with a (kind of) new title, these characters are ready for more crazy adventures.
A CHAT WITH THE NEW VOICES AND CREATIVE TEAM AT SDCC 2025
With the return of some of our favorite characters in “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball”, I sat down with Alkaio Thiele, Hero Hunter, and Kinza Syed Khan, the amazing voices behind the Elmore kids. As well as Ben Bocquelet, Creator & executive producer. As well as, Erik Fountain and Matt Layzell who also serve as executive producers at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in the THS Suite.
During our conversation we talked to the voice actors about what they loved about their characters and if they felt any pressure taking over the roles. As for the creative team, they shared with me some of the tweaks the show may or may not have needed as this revival comes so many years later. It was a really fun conversation that you can check out below!

ABOUT “THE WONDERFULLY WEIRD WORLD OF GUMBALL”
Welcome back to Elmore, where the laws of reality are a joke, and family life is anything but ordinary. Whether he’s battling an evil fast-food empire, facing off against a sentient AI in love with his mom, or trying to stop Banana Joe from wearing pants — Gumball Watterson drags his brother Darwin, sister Anais, and the rest of the town of Elmore along for the ride. With even wilder stories, bigger twists, and surreal humor, the show is so amazing that they had to rename it!
