Re-Animator got a BEAUTIFUL 4K restoration to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Now, to further that celebration, American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) and Mutant are announcing a nationwide theatrical run with Ignite Film and Eagle Rock Pictures’ stunning new 4K restoration of Stuart Gordon’s seminal classic. The screenings kick off this September and tickets are officially on sale.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary, RE-ANIMATOR fans attending these screenings will have exclusive access to Mutant’s limited-edition screenprinted poster by Phantom City Creative and glow-in-the-dark t-shirt designed by Rucking Fotten. Both are available only at these screenings and nowhere else.

“Few things are better, or bloodier, than Stuart Gordon’s vision of Lovecraftian horror and reanimation,” says Eric Garza, co-founder of Mutant. “RE-ANIMATOR is a chaotic mix of body horror, gore, and comedy. It is a practical effects masterpiece that surpasses every hype meter, even forty years later. Mutant is thrilled to again partner with the mad scientists at AGFA and fellow Miskatonic University colleagues: maestros of illustration Phantom City Creative and apparel giants Rucking Fotten on new merch exclusively available at upcoming theatrical screenings (in 4K!) of this undead classic.”
