Crunchyroll is proud to announce that they will soon be exclusively streaming Chainsaw Man – The Compilation. What is it, you might ask? Well, it’s basically Chainsaw Man becoming yet another popular anime series to get a compilation film. All it does is just summarize the events of the first season from studio MAPPA (and adapted from Tatsuki Fujimoto‘s manga of the same name) into something resembling a cinematic experience.
This time though, we will get not one, but two separate compilation films: Chainsaw Man – The Compilation: Part I and Chainsaw Man – The Compilation: Part II. Both films will make their streaming debut worldwide sometime in September 2025. With the films being Crunchyroll exclusives, of course.
And of course, we have deal sweeteners included into the compilation films. Chainsaw Man – The Compilation will include not only re-edited versions of familiar episodes, but also some brand new content. Specifically: Chainsaw Days, which will adapt bonus episodes from the manga. Exactly what they will be adapting isn’t said, but longtime readers of that manga will be able to guess what’s coming.
Chainsaw Man – The Compilation Coming Soon to Crunchyroll
Honestly, most fans will probably watch Chainsaw Man – The Compilation only for the Chainsaw Days bonus stuff. Mostly because the fans will have already watched season 1, so there’s little reason to rewatch it. Fortunately, this is going direct to streaming rather than going to theaters, so if you’re already paying for a Crunchyroll subscription to watch the anime, then you don’t have to pay any more to watch it. You can even skip through the film to get to the bonus content if you so wish, so it’s alright.
However, the fun part is that the reason why Crunchyroll is announcing Chainsaw Man – The Compilation. Apparently, it’s all in anticipation of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which Sony Pictures will bring to theaters across the US on October 29, 2025. If you want to meet Denji’s first girlfriend, then you might want to check out that anime film.
