The famed actress Diane Keaton has passed away at the age of 79. She died in California, and her loved ones have asked for privacy during this trying time. There are no other details about her death currently.
She rose to stardom with her turn in The Godfather and movies with Woody Allen. She won an Academy Award for her role in 1977’s Annie Hall as Best Actress. She kept working up until her death, starring in films to this day. She was born in Los Angeles in 1946 as Diane Hall, and was the oldest of four children.
Her big break in Hollywood came when she was cast in 1972’s The Godfather. She played Kay Adams, the girlfriend of Michale Corleone. She reprised her role in 1974’s The Godfather Part II. And finally came back for the 1990 trilogy ender, The Godfather Part III.
She collaborated with Woody Allen heavily in her career, starring in Play It Again, Sam, Sleeper, Love And Death and then Annie Hall. She starred in films later like Looking For Mr. Goodbar, Reds, Shoot the Moon, The Little Drummer Girl, Baby Boom, Father of the Bride, Something’s Gotta Give, and The First Wives Club.
