One Piece fans will readily recall the moment the Straw Hat Pirates made landfall on an island called Whiskey Peak. It was the moment Baroque Works first made their mark in the story, and it very nearly spelled the heroes’ end there too. And yet, it was also when they met and recruited one of their core members of their crew. A core member who would end up leaving them, but would always be in their hearts. In fact, they may end up rejoining the Straw Hat Pirates at some point in the manga’s future, if the hints Eiichiro Oda have been leaving in said manga are any indication. Longtime fans of that manga will know perfectly well who I’m talking about, and thus, this bit of news about the live-action version might be of interest.
Netflix is proud to present a first look at the live-action Whiskey Peak in the upcoming ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line. As is usual with their first looks into the upcoming live-action adaptation of One Piece, they include a new key art and screenshots from it. All for the hype, of course. One Piece Reveals Live-Action Whiskey Peak for the Hype
Typo in the key art aside, this first look into what a live-action Whiskey Peak will look like looks just as spectacular as their previous first looks. Honestly, this gives me hope for that upcoming second season of Netflix’s shockingly successful adaptation of One Piece. Alas though, there is no further news about its release window. All we still know is that it will debut on Netflix sometime in 2026. Oh well, at least we know that we can still watch the first season on Netflix.
