The Jason Universe is about to collide with the Call of Duty and Fortnite universes this Halloween season. He’s available right now in Call of Duty’s The Haunting event and in Fortnitemares on both games.
Available now in Call of Duty with the Jason Operator Bundle, fans can suit up as the iconic killer in two different looks, including a brand-new Tactical Jason design exclusive to the Call of Duty universe. Along with Jason skins and weapons, players can play as and against Jason in the limited time Slasher Deathmatch: Jason game mode, where Jason must track down and eliminate a group of survivors before time runs out.
Jason Takes Over Fortnitemares Too
Jason lands in Fortnite on October 17 with the Jason outfit, exclusive emotes, and more. He’s also already terrorizing the battle royale as a boss enemy who hunts nearby players with low health, rewarding those who defeat him with powerful loot including a mythic weapon. Lucky players can score big by competing in the Jason Haunted Cup tournament on October 16, with top performing teams in each region winning early access to the Jason outfit.
“The demand to see Jason in Call of Duty and Fortnite has been relentless–and we’ve heard you,” said Robbie Barsamian, Executive Vice President of Horror, Inc. “Jason Universe is all about bringing the GOAT back. Fans have waited long enough.”
“Dropping Jason into iconic games like Call of Duty and Fortnite is such a killer crossover–literally,” said Sheri Conn, Chief Marketing Officer of Horror, Inc. “Players get to step into the boots of a horror legend, but on entirely new terms. It’s a chance to see Jason unleashed in worlds with different rules, mechanics, and mayhem.”
“For over 45 years, Jason has been one of the horror community’s most iconic figures,” said Marc Toberoff, on behalf of Friday 13th LLC. “He will always adapt to the times and the mediums that matter to fans. To see Jason step back into the gaming arena is an exciting moment in his ever-evolving legacy, and one that will connect with both longtime fans and a new generation of players.”
What’s Next For Jason?

The Jason Universe is slowly unfolding. Fans have been impatient to see more from our favorite resident hockey mask wearing killer. We’ve got this collab with video games, and the Sweet Revenge short film from earlier this year to chew on for now. In the future, we’ve got the prequel series Crystal Lake coming to Peacock and a new movie and video game promised by Robbie Barsamian at San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
We’ll have to see just how Jason gets back into the limelight.
