Rush Hour 4 is heading out on the road at Paramount with the sequel coming from Brett Ratner. Deadline is reporting that Paramount is making the film as it makes a push to buy Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount is stepping up to put out the movie when a load of other studios have passed on the project including New Line Cinema, who were the original ones to put out the trilogy. The first Rush Hour film came out in 1998, then 2001, and the third in 2007. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are also reportedly back for the fourth part.

This also comes as Ratner was accused of sexual assault in 2017 by Melanie Kohler. He sued her for defamation in 2018 and the parties settled in the Fall. Ratner’s next project is a documentary about First Lady Melania Trump that hits theaters from Amazon MGM Studios on January 30th, 2026.
