Robosen and Hasbro are stepping back into the spotlight with a collector piece that is going to hit fans right in the nostalgia. The G1 Flagship Soundwave robot is now official and the company says it is the world’s first auto-converting version of the character. Pre orders are live now for a pre sale price of $999 USD before it jumps to its standard tag of $1,399 USD.
A New Era for a Classic Decepticon

Soundwave has always been Megatron’s most loyal operator and now Robosen has dragged him into the modern era with a pile of tech upgrades. The figure mirrors the original G1 look with sharp detail and a sense of presence that collectors will not ignore. This follows earlier releases of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Grimlock, who are already in the wild for fans who want a growing roster of transforming robots on their shelves.

The engineering team spent years dialing this thing in. Soundwave shifts from cassette player to Decepticon warrior through a lineup of new servo tech and improved algorithms that make the conversion look smooth rather than mechanical. It is not just a display piece either. While in cassette mode the robot acts as a Bluetooth speaker. You can stream music straight through it, then pause, play or skip tracks with the buttons on the front of the deck. There is even a built in recording feature so you can capture your own audio clips.
Voice, Power, and Presence
Robosen did not cut corners on authenticity. The robot carries a glowing sonic cannon and a neutron assault rifle. The company brought in Frank Welker to record more than two hundred lines, which are then filtered through engineering work by Scott Brownlee to give that exact gritty effect from 1984. Hearing lines like Destroy Autobots or Soundwave superior, Autobots inferior hit with that old school punch that fans still love.
The robot has articulating hip joints that create cleaner posing and more realistic movement. The body uses red lit accents along with zinc alloy, aluminum and ABS which gives the figure the appropriate weight and feel. Under the shell sits eighty four chipsets and twenty eight servo motors that work together to convert the figure right in front of you. It is a mix of eighties flavor and modern robotics that is straight up impressive.
A Collectible Built for Fans
Robosen’s partnership with Hasbro has already delivered some of the most advanced Transformers products on the market. Soundwave raises the bar again and nails the combination of tech and character driven nostalgia. Fans who grew up with this franchise will see it for what it is. A premium collector bot that is not playing around.
Pre orders are open at Robosen.com with availability coming soon to Hasbro Pulse. If you have been waiting for a Decepticon that carries real presence, this is the one worth locking in.
